Blue Moon: The world’s most expensive diamond?
A blue diamond is set to become the world’s most expensive gem when it goes up for auction in November.
The “Blue Moon Diamond”, among the largest known fancy vivid blue diamonds, will be the centrepiece of the auction of Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels in Geneva on 11th November. The stone weighs 12.03 carats and has been graded “Fancy Vivid Blue”, the highest possible colour grading for blue diamonds, by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Investors turn away from safe haven gold
Investors are turning away from gold as a safe haven asset, despite its traditional popularity during times of volatility.
August has seen the largest fall in sentiment towards Gold since May 2013, according to the latest Lloyds Bank Private Banking Investor Sentiment Index.
